Seeing these items go from a project idea to things my students are actually using every day has been such a wonderful feeling.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials began arriving, my students immediately noticed the changes in our classroom. They were excited about the new rug, the reading bench, and of course the bean bag chair. It was sweet watching them explore the new spaces and decide where they wanted to sit with a book. Our reading area now feels like a place they genuinely want to spend time in, and I have already seen how much the environment can change the way students approach reading.\r\n\r\nThe rug has quickly become one of the most used spaces in our room. It is where we gather for morning meetings, read-alouds, lessons, conversations, and all of those little moments throughout the day when we come together as a class. The weighted sloth, ocean projector, and jellyfish lamp help me create a calmer area of the classroom for students who need a quiet moment before returning to learning.\r\n\r\nSome of the resources are helping us academically as well. The guided reading overlays are being used as my students continue developing their reading skills and confidence. Over the coming weeks, we will be spending a lot of time strengthening fluency, comprehension, and independence as readers. I am excited to see them continue growing and to have resources that make that work a little more accessible and engaging.\r\n\r\nThere are also little things from this project that have become part of our classroom routines. The birthday wristbands give us a fun way to celebrate each student on their birthday and make their day feel a little more special. Even the carpet sweeper comes in handy as we work together to take care of a classroom that gets plenty of use from a busy group of first graders.\r\n\r\nWhat means the most to me is seeing my students actually enjoy the space that has been created for them. These materials are not sitting on a shelf waiting for a special occasion. They are being read on, gathered around, learned with, relaxed beside, celebrated with, and used throughout our school day.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving me the opportunity to make my classroom feel more complete for my students. I am very grateful for everything you provided and for the difference it is already making in our everyday classroom experience.","fullyFundedDate":1780711040195,"projectUrl":"project/creative-minds-endless-possibilities/10241936/","projectTitle":"Creative Minds, Endless Possibilities","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10168386_orig.jpg?crop=400,400,x528,y159&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755924329021","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10168386"},{"teacherId":10168386,"projectId":10213384,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our project, From Snapshots to Science: Hands-On Learning for Curious Minds. Because of your generosity, my Transitional Kindergarten students had the opportunity to experience science in a way that was engaging, interactive, and memorable.\r\n\r\nWhen we introduced the new materials during our insect life cycle unit, the excitement in the classroom was immediate. My students eagerly gathered around to observe, ask questions, and share what they noticed. The hands-on resources helped transform abstract concepts into meaningful learning experiences as students explored how insects grow and change. It was wonderful to watch their natural curiosity lead to thoughtful discussions, predictions, and discoveries. Many of my students continued talking about the insects long after our lessons ended and were excited to point out insects they found outside, making real-world connections to what they had learned in class.\r\n\r\nYour generosity gave my students the opportunity to learn through exploration, observation, and play—experiences that are so important during the early years of learning. Thank you for believing in my students and investing in their education. Your support created joyful moments of discovery that made a lasting impact on our classroom, and I will always be grateful for your kindness.","fullyFundedDate":1777977217674,"projectUrl":"project/from-snapshots-to-science-hands-on-lear/10213384/","projectTitle":"From Snapshots to Science: Hands-On Learning for Curious Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10168386_orig.jpg?crop=400,400,x528,y159&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755924329021","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10168386"},{"teacherId":2340227,"projectId":9488411,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous gift.
