We've already begun using the new resources, and they've made a noticeable difference. Recently, my students used the materials for a hands-on project where they rotated through learning stations—one focused on collaborative problem-solving, another on independent practice, and another on creative application. Watching them move confidently between stations and use the tools in ways that fit their individual learning styles was a highlight for me.\r\n\r\nRight now, we're taking the next step in our current unit by applying these materials to a longer-term project. Students are beginning to develop their own ideas, gather evidence, and build models or presentations depending on their chosen focus. The new resources are helping them work more independently, collaborate more effectively, and show deeper understanding of the concepts we're studying.","fullyFundedDate":1759096090419,"projectUrl":"project/basic-science-supplies/9766375/","projectTitle":"Basic Science Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Luevanos","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2460854_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1505022445039","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-a-kang"},{"teacherId":2460854,"projectId":9719805,"letterContent":"My students and I have been so excited to dive into the new materials! Students will come to the Library and join leadership students in the dancing, games and refreshments. It's been exciting to see their curiosity and critical thinking come alive through hands-on learning.\r\nThe Ticonderoga pencils have also been a game changer. Students are able to focus more on their work without the constant frustration of broken pencil tips. It may seem like a small thing, but the difference it makes in keeping them engaged is huge.\r\nAnd thank you as well for the fruit snacks — they're the perfect boost to help students stay focused and energized until lunchtime.\r\nYour support means the world to me and to this amazing group of future scientists. My students were so excited to receive their own supplies — a simple joy that means the world to them. Working at a Title I school, many of our families can't afford basic materials, and something like a set of colored pencils truly feels like a luxury to these young learners.\r\nYour donation has provided more than just supplies; it's given my students a sense of pride and ownership in their work. The Ticonderoga pencils especially make a big difference — their quality allows students to focus on learning, not constant sharpening.\r\nBecause of your kindness, these future scientists have the tools they need to complete their work neatly and confidently. If it weren't for you, I would have to keep teaching a novel that is outdated and not relatable to my current ELs and struggling readers. This book allowed them to feel a sense of accomplishment when they finished it, and it leaves the reader with an open-ended ending. \r\n\r\nThis allowed us to create a possible conclusion ourselves and have a wonderful discussion about it. It also opens up a rich debate and discussion about gun violence and gun use in general.
