The bins and contact paper have been helpful in creating a center full of learning activities appropriate for our young students. The large bins have been filled with language arts, math, and fine motor activities. We color coded the shelves and various subjects so the students could identify which subject activity was in the bins as well as where to place the bin after they finished with it.\r\nWe were also able to order several small bins which are used to store small manipulative for various math counting and sorting lessons. The students love being able to see which manipulatives are in the these bins. They then can select the item they want to use for the counting lesson.\r\nThese materials have helped us organize the classroom and helped the students develop independence in cleaning up after themselves. They have also provided space for various learning activities. We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and support. The students love reading the magazines. They are making connections and enjoying sharing during discussions. The thicker paper is easy for them to hold onto. My young students use many consumable materials, and the classroom budget cannot keep up with their needs. \r\n\r\nWe use play dough regularly in the classroom. It is fun, sensory, creative material for developing the small muscles in the hands which are used for writing. We have a play dough table all the children use during the week. The dough dries out and loses its elasticity after time, so it needs to be replaced multiple times each year. \r\n\r\nThe scented markers are used for projects and in the art center. I requested the scented markers, because they create conversation and add a sensory component to the artwork. The children loved these. They were talking as they tried to determine the scent, which they enjoyed most, and in sharing the colors. Developing language and using descriptive words are skills we practice in class. \r\nThank you for these fantastic, fun, useful materials.
