As the hatching day approached, the kids grew more and more ecstatic. When the day finally came, I knew it was going to be a moment they would never forget. My students and I want to thank you for this wonderful opportunity! Not only were they able to learn about what is necessary for an egg to hatch, they also learned what is needed to take care of baby chicks, and to maintain their health. They also learned why some eggs don't make it and were able to to explore and discuss amongst their peers about what may have been the cause and what they can do in the future if they were to attempt hatching eggs again. Thank you for your donations as this will bring me many years of joy teaching this activity.","fullyFundedDate":1745894334804,"projectUrl":"project/lets-get-hatching/9273821/","projectTitle":"Let’s Get Hatching!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Nakahara","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8624667_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1660698928235","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8624667"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_79990","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":656,"numTeachers":32,"percentFrplEligible":64,"percentAsian":53,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":40,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"20.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":79.5,"schoolId":79990,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Ramona Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Ramona Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/alhambra-unified-school-district/ramona-elementary-school/79990"}
