Tk-3rd grade learners have been having rich creative experiences each week during dance and music. Learners have explored the elements of dance with lots of support from new materials. Some of these include easy to use wooden instruments, colorful scarves, play doh for shape sculpting, new books that support performance art and social emotional learning as well as other manipulative tools that support tactile, sensory and other learning experiences.\r\n Each time I introduce something new to our curriculum, learners et vey excited and they are eager to make new discoveries. One of the best parts of your generosity allows me to integrate different new tools and resources throughout the year and rotate the fan favorites! \r\nI look forward to continuing to try out new tools , esp some of the literary resources that connect to certain curricular themes . The opportunity to spirally teach material that is age appropriate for each age allows for progression to the next year with additional learners experiencing those tools.\r\nI have noticed that by having more resources around that more learners can be supported through the tougher days and find success in each class. Your gift will continue to give to the community for years to come! Our class reviewed the titles and rated our new books. Here were some 5-star reviews and comments from learners about the new books:\r\n\r\nMagic Trash- This book inspires people to reuse instead of waste.\r\nRally for Recycling- This book is great because it shows us all about recycling.\r\nNo More Plastic- This book tells us about how to help the world.\r\nGreta and the Giants- This book teaches us about Greta saving the world.\r\nWhat a Waste!- This book tells us what happens when waste goes out into the sea.\r\n\r\nThanks again for your support. The resources you helped to purchase for our classroom allowed us to end our year strong and organized. All learners finished the year with access to a book seat pack and new nameplates. These tools created an inviting and calm space.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, we were able to get our color printer up and running before the year closed. Learners got a color copy of some of their writing and project work, which was exciting! \r\n\r\nOur new Chromebooks are being configured over the summer and will be ready to go with the fall class. We use these for the whole class twice weekly for our two online programs: IXL and Raz-Kids. Your gift will allow us to have enough computers for each learner, so we won't need to borrow from other classes next year.\r\n\r\nYour generosity touched the class. Here are some direct quotes: \r\n\"Thank you for the new Chromebooks. We need them. Some computers were broken, and those people needed to use others. Now, we have them!\"\r\n\"Thank you for the new seat packs. Now we have more space for books! You are the best!\"\r\n\"Thank you for the new seat packs! We were always low on them, and more of them is splendid!\"\r\n\"Thank you for the color printer. Share a specific classroom project or moment.\r\n\r\nThe new materials have made a huge difference in our classroom! Each of my science classes now stores their folders in their designated bin on the carts, which has made transitions so much smoother. The bins on the shelves are not only visually appealing but also incredibly functional; they've helped us keep our materials sorted and accessible. The mailbox system has been a game changer for managing student work; assignments are no longer getting lost, and students know exactly where to submit their work or pick up feedback. One of my favorite moments was watching students take ownership as they helped build the carts and mailbox; they were so proud to contribute to their classroom environment.\r\n\r\nHow did your students react when they first saw the materials?\r\n\r\nThey were thrilled! Several students jumped in to help assemble the carts and mailbox, and many commented on how much more organized the classroom feels. It really sparked a sense of ownership and excitement for our learning space.\r\n\r\nWhat are the next steps for your students on a current classroom lesson or project?\r\n\r\nCurrently, my students are embarking on a hands-on science project that explores ecosystems. Each group is creating a mini-habitat and documenting the interactions within it. The new organizational systems have made it easier for students to store their ongoing work, collect data, and keep their materials together. These resources are allowing them to focus more on the inquiry process and less on managing clutter. Next, they will present their findings and reflect on how various variables impact ecosystem balance.","fullyFundedDate":1738260641665,"projectUrl":"project/mastering-organization-systems-for-succ/9082080/","projectTitle":"Mastering Organization: Systems for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jamie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3409407"},{"teacherId":40201,"projectId":8964939,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for our new entrance mats! They have made a significant difference in keeping our classroom's floors clean. Our room feels better and safer on rainy days with these new mats at our entrances and our backpack area.\r\n\r\nMy learners had the biggest grins when they came in and saw these the first day. It was a joyous and memorable moment for all! They all wanted to know who bought them for us, and I got to share and show them my teacher page on DonorsChoose, and tell them about the donors who support public schools. As I have written many grants over the years through DonorsChoose, they saw a lesson in advocacy and the power of writing through your gift. \r\n\r\nOur facility is old, and learners immediately notice any improvement.
