Each day, students eagerly observed the caterpillars, recorded changes in their science journals, and discussed the stages of the butterfly life cycle. When the materials first arrived, the classroom was filled with excitement and curiosity. Many students had never seen caterpillars up close before and were amazed to watch them grow and begin forming chrysalises. Seeing real-life science unfold sparked meaningful conversations, thoughtful questions, and a deep sense of wonder.\r\n\r\nAs the project continued, students connected their observations to our lessons on life cycles and habitats. They made predictions, reflected through writing and drawings, and celebrated when the butterflies emerged and were released. Because of your kindness, students experienced learning beyond the textbook and gained a deeper understanding of nature in a memorable and meaningful way. Thank you for helping make this project possible for our classroom. 🦋","fullyFundedDate":1760616662050,"projectUrl":"project/from-caterpillar-to-butterfly-a-stem-li/9807947/","projectTitle":"From Caterpillar to Butterfly: A STEM Life Cycle Project","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Vargas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9080737"},{"teacherId":1078411,"projectId":9893548,"letterContent":"The building sets arrived this Winter and have made such an impact in the classroom. Students that normally chose videogames for fun Friday chose to build cars to race out of the Legos. They were excited to build triangular prisms with magnetic blocks! Teaching in a portable is not bad but we do lack some vital resources. With this water system it is no longer the case. So much time was lost with students leaving to get a drink. All the students in our classroom alley love it really! \r\n It may sound simple but a water cooler in the classroom without a sink has been a joy. The generosity of this donation is overwhelming.
