Often, they walk into class eager to learn, despite the many challenges they may face outside of school. Your contributions have helped turn our classroom into a more engaging, enriching, and welcoming space where students feel seen, valued, and inspired.\r\nAt the moment we are drawing, painting, and coloring skulls to put on our art wall for Dia De Los Muertos that lasts till the first week of November, and we're doing a the work for the week by Thursday so that we truly have \"Fun Fridays\" where curriculum is still covered, but with more fun activities and a little freedom to express oneself through art. My students enjoyed the wall decor that came in, but the items arrived towards the end of the semester and they weren't able enjoy them as much, except for the summer school students. They were able to enjoy the items that came in a bit more. The adjustable desk is going to be put into place in one of the three classrooms that I currently teach in here at Del Rio Academy, we delayed displaying it until the rest of the materials arrive. I received one of the gray chairs, some signing for wall decor, a laptop stand, some writing grooved workbooks, and magic pens, but we're in our 4th week of this semester already, and merchandise is still on its way till october. Our current lessons relate to studying life science cycles, identifying separate systems that function independently, applying critical thinking to applied mathematical concepts. We'll be taking on CAASPP/ELPAC soon, studying biospheres, reading Lord of the Flies, essay writing, and taking additional assessments.","fullyFundedDate":1746786339152,"projectUrl":"project/school-champions/9129965/","projectTitle":"School Champions!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Panduro","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9931139"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_60524","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":40,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":82,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":15,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":82,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"US Census Data for the surrounding geographic area","gradesServed":"7 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"Census ZCTA","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":16.7,"schoolId":60524,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Del Rio Community School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Del Rio Community School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/-county-run-/del-rio-community-school/60524"}
