Our students couldn't wait to get outside and put them to use, and the first recess with the new soccer balls, kick balls, footballs, and basketballs was filled with smiles, cheers, and nonstop energy. Many students immediately started organizing games together, while others simply enjoyed having quality equipment to practice their skills. For a school of 350 students, these resources are already being used daily and are making a huge difference in the variety and quality of activities available during recess and PE classes.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments came the first day we brought out the new soccer balls. Students who don't usually join in were eager to get involved, and the game quickly grew from a handful of players to an entire field of enthusiastic teammates. The same has happened in basketball and football games, where kids are learning teamwork, sharing, and sportsmanship just by having the right tools to play. These balls aren't just equipment—they are helping create an environment where all students feel included, active, and excited to participate.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we'll be using these resources in structured PE lessons to teach skills like dribbling, passing, teamwork, and strategy, as well as in free play during recess. Thanks to your generosity, our students now have the opportunity to build stronger physical skills while also developing cooperation, confidence, and a love for being active. This project has truly impacted the daily lives of our students, and we are so grateful for your support in making playtime and physical education more engaging and meaningful.","fullyFundedDate":1757341943118,"projectUrl":"project/catch-kick-bounce-repeat/9499809/","projectTitle":"Catch, Kick, Bounce, Repeat!","teacherDisplayName":"Coach B","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10060063_orig.jpg?crop=1240,1240,x0,y28&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750458701090","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10060063"},{"teacherId":10053176,"projectId":9405417,"letterContent":"I am incredibly grateful for your generous support in funding our classroom rug project. Your kindness has made a significant difference in our learning environment, and I wanted to take a moment to share the impact it's had on my students.\r\n\r\nBefore this project was funded, our classroom did not have a rug that was suitable for use. The previous one was stained, worn out, and no longer created a space that felt clean or inviting. As a first grade teacher, I know how important it is to provide a warm, welcoming space where students can gather together to learn, share, and grow. The rug is the heart of our classroom—it's where we start our day, dive into stories, work on math skills, and build classroom community.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, we now have a bright, clean, and cozy rug that gives my students their own special space to sit and focus. It's amazing how something as simple as a new rug can transform not just the look of the room, but the energy and comfort level too. The kids love it, and you can see the excitement on their faces each time they find their spot for a read-aloud or morning meeting.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping to make our classroom a better place to learn and grow. Because of your generosity, our students now have brand-new balls to use in physical education class. The excitement on their faces when the equipment arrived was priceless—students were eager to jump in, try new activities, and couldn't wait to get moving.\r\n\r\nWe've already started using the balls in class for skill-building activities like dribbling, passing, and cooperative games. Having enough high-quality equipment for every student means they all get more practice time and can stay engaged throughout the lesson. One special moment was watching a class of third graders cheer each other on during a relay game, made possible because every group had the right equipment to participate fully.\r\n\r\nThese new resources will continue to make PE more active, fun, and inclusive. Students are learning teamwork, developing confidence, and staying motivated to live healthy, active lives.
