We are now able to gather comfortably on the carpet for whole-group instruction, where students can easily turn and talk with partners and actively engage in discussions. The flexible space also allows students to spread out and work independently when needed, creating a calm and comfortable environment that supports focus and learning.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate. They couldn't wait to spread everything out and begin using it right away. One of their favorite parts has been taking responsibility for maintaining the space—especially using the vacuum to keep our learning area clean. This has promoted a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and accountability, as students take pride in caring for their classroom.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, our next steps involve continuing to challenge ourselves and grow each day in a learning environment that encourages exploration, collaboration, and independence. Your contribution has helped create a space where students feel comfortable, motivated, and empowered to learn, and its impact will be felt throughout our classroom experiences. Thank you for investing in my students and in a learning environment where they can truly thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1757961994076,"projectUrl":"project/a-space-where-reading-magic-and-learning/9406451/","projectTitle":"A Space Where Reading Magic and Learning Growth Abounds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Scantling","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3711351_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749571302229","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-scantling"},{"teacherId":8533885,"projectId":9456669,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation! My class was so excited to get these resources and use them in our classroom! Their absolute favorite is the light table. We have used the light table during our center time to build letters and numbers. They are excited to use the magnetic letter squares to build cvc words once we move into that unit as well! They also have loved the writing gel pads. This has been a game changer for our handwriting!! \r\n\r\nWhen they first saw all of the boxes in our room alone, they were so excited. When I descirbed all of the items and how we would use them, they could not wait to get started! The light table was their biggest thing, and they have just loved using it. This truly has made learning fun for them, and gets them excited to learn! I have an ELL student who speaks no English. We have been using the camp fire s'more sticks to help conversation, and her learning English words. When she first saw it, she loved getting to play with it and learn new words. \r\n\r\nOur next steps on a classroom lesson are finishing up our letter unit, and moving into cvc words and writing. The light table and the magnetic letters are going to be a hit in our room for sure! They love the magnetic blocks to build, and our light table. So they are excited to get to build words!! We are also using the letter clips to match letters to beginning sounds, but will eventually get to use those to build cvc words as well! In math we just introduced addition, so the kids are excited to get to use the cactus counting game as well. All of these resources have really gotten my kiddos excited about learning, and love it so much. We are so thankful for your donation!","fullyFundedDate":1757961996024,"projectUrl":"project/making-literacy-shine/9456669/","projectTitle":"Making Literacy Shine","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cooper","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8533885_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752241049034","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8533885"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_56310","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":706,"numTeachers":42,"percentFrplEligible":36,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":80,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":7,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"16.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":88.2,"schoolId":56310,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about East Pointe Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"East Pointe Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arkansas/greenwood-public-schools/north-main-intermediate-school/56310"}
