Many of my kids never would have had this opportunity nor this theatrical first experience at their school without your help. We were able to create our mobile theater and have four performance between two very different locations. I think this helped the students learn to adapt, increase their confidence and taught them responsibility as actors and crew members. I got to watch many students grow and learn and was able to include dancing, live music, sound effects and other important rolls because of the play. Our plan is to continue with our after school drama program and hopefully create bigger and equally wonderful drama opportunities for the students in my district. Then I thought about how much I loved all kinds of photography. The fun scientific properties has inraptured me since I was in elementary school and I have always wanted to create my very own dark room. I was so happy to find I could create such a space for my students in my own classrooms with limited spaces and limited chemical use. \r\n\r\nIt has been such a joyful experience to share this project with my stidents. Most of them are so used to using technology and instant results in photography. I found that many of them saw it more as entertainment than an art form. My younger students are always in awe when they see their cyanotype magically appear once rinsed in water. \r\n\r\nMy high school students have also loved being in nature and photographing their environment. They seem to look forward ro our outside assignments and are always asking what we are doing next.
