Instead of worrying about whether they had the right school supplies, my students could walk in each day knowing that pencils, notebooks, and other essentials like paper and headphones were available for them. I saw how my students felt a sense of security that lifted a weight off their shoulders and created an atmosphere where they could focus fully on learning rather than on what they might be lacking.\r\nBeyond meeting practical needs, the supplies also made my students feel cared for and valued. They recognized that someone believed in their potential enough to invest in their success, which gave them a boost of motivation. With the classroom stocked and ready, students settled into their routines more smoothly, participated more actively, and felt a stronger sense of belonging. Your donation didn't just provide materials—it created a welcoming environment where students could thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1750164629301,"projectUrl":"project/laminate-this-new-estate/9401841/","projectTitle":"Laminate This New Estate!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lofton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10051883"},{"teacherId":6480253,"projectId":8930642,"letterContent":"We now have a fully stocked cabinet of printmaking materials, thank you! Students helped to unbox the supplies with smiles and wondered what they would get to do with them. \r\nThe supplies encompass two different printmaking techniques; we have not yet gotten to fully explore both, but it's coming! We started with the easier Gelli plates because they invited the creative play. Students made collage papers for a collage project and all around just enjoyed the non-restrictive process of experimenting with layers of color and patterns. Art Club also got to try the process and further added drawings on top of the artworks.\r\nOne of the biggest successes produced from the creative play is a senior student's artwork that fit the theme of this year's Fort Smith Regional Art Museum Annual Invitational Exhibition: Beasts Of The Imagination. That student is so proud to be competing with mostly adult artists, and it all came about because of your generosity and belief in art education. We will be creating for a long time with the donation!","fullyFundedDate":1731950536762,"projectUrl":"project/creative-play-to-reconnect-to-the-joy-of/8930642/","projectTitle":"Creative Play To Reconnect To The Joy Of Artmaking","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hartman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6480253_orig.jpg?crop=716,716,x443,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1605901511213","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6480253"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_55950","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2231,"numTeachers":121,"percentFrplEligible":77,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":13,"percentWhite":20,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":53,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"18.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":43.0,"schoolId":55950,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Northside High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Northside High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arkansas/fort-smith-school-district/northside-high-school/55950"}
