I have started to use them for my current labs, but I've started planning on additional labs. For example, the pictures I have attached are kids massing their soil in their experiment. Students are going through the science inquiry process and are learning about constants in an experiment(variables you keep the same when you have a selected or different independent variable). This allows students to see that the independent variable is affecting the results and not other variables. The students took good care of the balances and demonstrated how to use them properly for the experiment. WE couldn't have done this without your support!!! The students meet at least twice a month in the library with overflow in one of our classrooms. All week they keep stopping at the circulation desk to confirm that we are having the meet; it's something they look forward to with barely contained excitement. \r\n\r\nThe students who run each group, Dungeon Masters (DMs), have used the campaign books and cards to craft more exciting adventures for their teams. Now that they've all used them, I've opened it up to other students in the schools who are checking them out to take home for their family groups. Time Magazine recently created an entire issue dedicated to exploring how important this particular role-playing game has become over the last fifty years, and I'm grateful that you have helped us create a stronger team here at Washington Junior High. \r\n\r\nWhen I asked some of our leaders how they felt the club helped the players in school, one told me, \"My players and I are enjoying our campaign, which has included a lot of writing and story prompts! We all participate in the story, making it fully immersive!\" Another DM shared, \"It builds bonds and friendship and empathy, as you need to work together to overcome challenges. Even people with social anxiety or a disability or anything can be whatever they want to be, and everyone is an equal, a partner, a friend.\" Finally, another added, \"It should help with our narrative writing assignments because we have to create your character - you must first select a class, then you can go and select a race. With those selected you can create their background, fears and goals - just like a book.\" \r\n\r\nWe truly appreciate what you have done to help expand our club that provides recreation for a diverse group of students and that helps them grow their understanding of the elements of story.","fullyFundedDate":1728406458144,"projectUrl":"project/creativity-and-story-structure-through-g/8789965/","projectTitle":"Creativity and Story Structure Through Gaming","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Valentine","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9018004"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_47897","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":709,"numTeachers":60,"percentFrplEligible":22,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":80,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"11.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":71.4,"schoolId":47897,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Washington Junior High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Washington Junior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arkansas/bentonville-public-school-district-6/washington-junior-high-school/47897"}
