By donating to our project we were able to purchase new literacy games and decodable books. It was a great resource at the end of the year last year to keep students engaged, and it has been a great addition for starting our year with fun games this year! \r\n When we first started using the materials my students were thrilled with the hands-on games. They love matching words that rhyme to build a tree, and find compound words that when put together create a picture of the new word. This activity provided a visual for my ESL students and allowed them to hear and see how words come together to make something new! We have loved these first 2 sets so much that I hope to add the 3rd set later this year for my more advanced students.\r\n Thank you again for giving my students the opportunity to practice their skills with new reading games and books! We are so grateful to you for donating these items to our classroom. Since we unrolled the new rug, everyone who enters our room comments on how much \"brighter\" our space is. Our principal walked in and said, \"Wow, your room has so much light! I love it!\" The addition of an attractive and cheerful rug has made such a difference in the appearance of our classroom. Not only are we using the new cozy space for reading as wished, but students ask me if they can work on the rug anytime they want to focus. It has become a favorite gathering space for reading, collaboration, games, and just taking a moment to relax. \r\n\r\nI am so appreciative of your generosity and your interest in helping me create a comfortable and nurturing environment for my 2nd graders.
