A lot of the information we cover can become pretty dull and boring. With your help, we have added a colorful and brighter view. We have also been able to give the students a more hands on approach at some activities which helps to peak their interests more. We immediately put the Epson printer, colored pencils, colored pencil sharpeners, dividers, and regular pencil sharpeners to use.\r\n\r\nWe had just finished our chapter on Egypt so I asked the students to write their name in Hieroglyphics. I was able to use the printer to print a color copy of a Hieroglyphics template for each table group. Each student was able to use the colored pencils to create a masterpiece of their name using Hieroglyphics. They had an absolute blast and definitely had a better understanding and appreciation for the Egyptians who could write. We also watched a video on the discovery of King Tut's tomb. In this video they have developed a new technology where they can take black & white pictures and videos and add color to them. After the video we took and quiz and used the colorful dividers with positive words on them to keep everyone from wanting to look off their neighbors answers.\r\n\r\nMy students have really enjoyed getting to use these items and seem to be more engaged. Being able to present different lessons like this with a little more color and excitement has helped to make it a lot more interesting. I am looking forward to implementing a colorful lesson or two into every chapter going forward. Thank you again for this donation.
