The students absolutely loved getting a break from doing pencil paper work and we genuinely enjoyed creating these pieces of math art together. \r\n\r\nIn introducing the project, we went over some vocabulary they should've already known and introduced some new words they'll be learning over the next year. By reinforcing the vocabulary throughout the course of creating the icosahedrons, we cemented the words and the meaning in a tangible way I know the kids will remember for years to come. \r\n\r\nThank you SO much for making this project come to life! Even though these are really intended to be utilized next year for my senior level classes, my current students were intrigued by the different games, especially those they hadn't heard of, and were eager to open them up and try them out. We have had a lot of fun just getting to learn the rules of the new games and start playing them together.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was when playing the game \"Budget\" because my 9th graders have no idea what the concept of a budget is or how to make one. We got to have discussions around what it means to have a budget and the difference between needs and wants and it ended up being a really good discussion. \r\n\r\nAgain, thank you so much for your contribution to our class! It is a daily occurrence that I find students utilizing these tools to help regulate, which is why I sent a couple of candid photos of when I saw them with the stress balls in class. \r\n\r\nThank you again for making this area come to life!
