The Tanner Tees, GoSports limited-flight balls, and Marucci 1-hand bats will be key in our hitting stations. The power strips have enabled students to charge their computers with minimal interruptions to the learning process. Typically, when students fail to charge their computers, it requires interruptions to lessons and activities. Now they can quickly connect their charger to a power strip that is near them, rather than move to the closest outlet (which may not be nearby). \r\n\r\nThe headphones have made a great impact on students and their ability to listen to audiobooks in class. I teach co-taught English, which means I have students who receive services and accommodations. These accommodations often include having speech-to-text and audiobooks available. Now all of those students can receive those services at the same time. \r\n\r\nFinally, the extra packs of lined notebook paper have improved students' ability to take notes, engage in the pre-writing process, and complete bellwork. Again, this is often a resource that students go through quickly. Students sometimes run out or don't have consistent support from home to ensure that they have these materials. Being able to provide a simple staple greatly reduces the distractions and frustration that could otherwise occur. \r\n\r\nAll of these essentials, though simple, have made a clear impact on student learning by reducing stress and distractions. We have been able to practice more often as there is limited course time offered. We have used them to practice on days we aren't permitted at the course. A few golfers have gotten to take things home and work on their swing at home.\r\n\r\nGolfers were excited when they saw the new equipment and they began to look forward to using it all. The alignment sticks have helped golfers who have problems with where their body is actually aiming vs where they think they are aimed at.\r\n\r\n\r\nGolfers will continue to work with these items to improve during our season. The equipment will now allow us to have an offseason program to help the golfers continue to work on their game more often. Golf is an expensive sport and equipment can be hard to come by.
