There is no longer a fight about doing math homework. I am trying to make math as fun as can be while explaining how this will relate to their lives as they pick their future professions. I am also trying to give my students a deep understanding of the state math standards in fun, different, and exciting ways. This project gave students an opportunity to try a hands on math activity that was student led instead of a direct lesson from me. They are able to explore central tendency with little guidance from myself. In letting students explore the topic they get a deeper understanding and are even teaching each other!
