The students in my technology classes have been so excited to get to use DASH robots. We started our year with 1 and now we have 4. The students have formed teams that collaborate to work to overcome numerous challenges. They have used their leadership skills to show others how to accomplish tasks as well as how to use the apps.\r\n \r\nDASH robots are smart enough to respond to voices and sounds. The students figured out how to record their own sounds as well. Two Dash robots can interact with each other, which makes for a fun and interactive learning experience for kids.\r\n\r\nMy students have created obstacle courses for the DASH robots to compete in. Each course tests out a different DASH robot feature. I now have so many more students interested in robots. I can't wait to see what they accomplish next year.","fullyFundedDate":1740691105881,"projectUrl":"project/robotics-at-rves/9129282/","projectTitle":"Robotics at RVES","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Silva","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1939580_orig.png?crop=640,640,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1620012020477","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/lisilva"},{"teacherId":8061068,"projectId":9123800,"letterContent":"The students and I loved this project. The end of the year is hard to motivate students, as we are all tired! This gave the students a purpose for writing that we haven't been able to focus on, which is publishing! It's important for students to see their writing serves a purpose. Students were excited to get their poems written and revised with a partner so they could publish and illustrate them in their books. It also gave students freedom as they were to write poems about their interests. Students were excited to take these books home and share them with their families! \r\n\r\nThank you so much for donating to my classroom and igniting a passion for students to write! It was amazing to see the deep thinking and use of language that I had not seen before. \r\n\r\nI can't wait until next school year!
