The Kane Chronicles book set has sparked excitement for reading, inspiring even reluctant readers to dive into engaging stories.\r\n\r\nHygiene items like deodorant wipes, hand sanitizer, and hair ties help students feel comfortable and confident throughout the school day, so they can focus on learning rather than distractions. My students have been enjoying reading in a more comfortable setting because of these cushions.\r\n\r\nReading in my classroom now looks a little different. First, we read as a class and complete our lessons as usual, then we do group work and lastly my students get free choice reading. During free choice reading, they can choose any book they want to read and sit anywhere in the room with their comfy cushion. They are truly enjoying this! Their love of reading has sky rocketed through the roof!! They now ask daily \"when is free choice reading?\" \r\n\r\nThe new books are also a hit! Many have never read these or seen these. The fact that we don't have a community library, is difficult for our students to have access to a variety of books. This is just a great way to get them to be exposed to many books and genres. \r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for your support in providing these supplies to my kiddos!","fullyFundedDate":1750737064641,"projectUrl":"project/for-the-love-of-reading-in-a-comfy-corne/9249506/","projectTitle":"For the Love of Reading in a Comfy Corner!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Zamora","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8650043"},{"teacherId":8646666,"projectId":9236922,"letterContent":"My students are creative problem-solvers who thrive when learning feels hands-on and meaningful. Coming from a rural Title 1 school, they are used to tackling real-world challenges in their daily lives, whether on the ranch or in their communities. This STEM project will allow them to channel that same energy into purposeful learning by designing battery-powered \"goal sensors\" and creating eco-awareness posters that connect environmental science to one of their favorite activities—soccer. By combining teamwork, sports, and engineering, students will experience how their creativity and problem-solving skills can spark innovation.\r\n\r\nThrough this project, students will use classroom basics—pencils, paper, glue, and poster boards—to plan and share their ideas both visually and in writing. Batteries will power their prototypes, soccer balls will bring physics concepts like motion, force, and trajectory to life, and whiteboard markers and Lysol wipes will help keep our collaborative space safe and engaging. The ultimate goal is to show students that engineering, math, and environmental science aren't just subjects in a classroom—they are tools they can use to make an impact in their world. This experience will empower them to see themselves as capable innovators and leaders whose ideas matter.\r\n\r\nWe haven't yet been able to create the goals, but we have used the posters for other projects, including designing our own amusement parks for the first week of school. The students loved the activity.","fullyFundedDate":1744032882758,"projectUrl":"project/solar-soccer-eco-goals-engineering-fu/9236922/","projectTitle":"Solar Soccer & Eco Goals: Engineering Fun for the Planet","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Garcia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8646666"},{"teacherId":8646666,"projectId":9188408,"letterContent":"In our rural Title I school, resources are scarce, but my students' creativity and determination are endless. With these STEM tools—from science kits to building materials—they can research, design, and build projects that bring learning to life. Hands-on experiences will spark curiosity, build confidence, and open doors to future opportunities they may have never imagined. Your support will help turn their ideas into reality and their dreams into goals.\r\nThis project will transform my classroom into a hands-on STEM learning hub where curiosity leads to creation. With access to essential tools—such as computer mice for research, colored poster board for visual communication, and staples for organizing their work—students will be equipped to share their ideas effectively. Engineering and circuitry supplies, including coffee filters, copper tape, craft sticks, and coffee stirrers, will allow them to experiment, problem-solve, and bring their designs to life. Precision tools like a graduated pitcher will enhance measurement skills, while a wireless hot glue gun will enable sturdy model construction. Band-aids ensure safety during active, tactile learning experiences. Many students said that drawing, coloring and doing art makes them feel happy, relaxed and full of imagination! \r\n\r\nI will continue to use and incorporate these materials next year as long as I have them. Because of your generosity, my students now have access to technology that enhances their learning, fuels their creativity, and encourages physical activity—all of which make a huge difference in their engagement and success.\r\n\r\nIn today's world, technology is not just a tool—it's a gateway to deeper understanding and hands-on learning. With the iPads, my students can explore complex science and math concepts through interactive apps, create detailed writing projects with digital tools, and engage in research at their fingertips. Procreate, in particular, has opened new doors for creativity, allowing students to visually express their ideas in ways that traditional materials don't always allow. Whether it's sketching scientific models, illustrating ELA story projects, or designing digital posters, my students now have the ability to bring their learning to life.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part? The sense of ownership and creativity this technology provides. Students who once struggled with engagement now eagerly dive into digital storytelling, math problem-solving, and engineering challenges. They love the ability to edit, revise, and refine their work instantly, making the learning process feel more like discovery than routine. The PE equipment has also been a game-changer, providing much-needed movement breaks that help students refocus and stay energized for learning.\r\n\r\nYour donation has made an immediate and lasting impact in my classroom, turning lessons into immersive experiences and helping students discover new strengths. It has been a total game changer for our classroom. The cordless mice have made it so easy for each student to learn how to use a mouse. These days kids are so used to having everything be touch screen that it makes it difficult for them to learn to use a mouse. Having a cordless mouse has made it so much easier on them especially since they don't have to worry about the cord of their mouse and headphones. \r\n\r\nWe also received the magnetic tiles and wobble seats. The magnetic tiles are definitely one of the classes favorite free time toys. They like to build castles or play pizza parlor with them. They use the wobble seats whenever they need to or want to, especially when their group is having to sit on the floor to complete a task. \r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw their new mice, magnetic tiles and wobble seats they were so excited!
