Your generosity has brought meaningful, hands-on learning experiences directly into our classrooms, and we are already seeing the powerful impact.\r\n\r\nFrom the moment students began building their marble runs, excitement filled the room. What may look like simple play is actually rich, standards-based STEM learning in action. Students are exploring concepts such as gravity, force, motion, speed, and angles as they design, test, and refine their creations. They are predicting outcomes, measuring distances, and thinking critically about why a marble speeds up, slows down, or changes direction.\r\n\r\nJust as important as the academic learning is the growth in mindset. When a design doesn't work the first time, students don't give up — they adjust, redesign, and try again. They are learning perseverance, resilience, and the value of problem-solving. We regularly hear students say, \"Let's try a different way,\" or \"What can we change to make it better?\" That confidence and willingness to learn from mistakes is exactly what we hoped this project would foster.\r\n\r\nCollaboration has also flourished. Students work in teams, sharing ideas, dividing responsibilities, and learning how to communicate respectfully and effectively. These are skills that extend far beyond STEM lessons and into everyday life.\r\n\r\nFor many of our students, access to high-quality, hands-on STEM materials would not be possible without donors like you. Your support ensures equitable opportunities for all learners and inspires curiosity about the world around them.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our students and believing in their potential. Because of you, learning at Roadrunner Elementary is active, engaging, and full of possibility.","fullyFundedDate":1766172014913,"projectUrl":"project/marbles-motion-and-mindset-a-stem-lea/9957231/","projectTitle":"Marbles, Motion, and Mindset: A STEM Learning Project","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lyons","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5460824_orig.jpg?crop=288,288,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743709809185","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jennie-lyons"},{"teacherId":5460824,"projectId":9601382,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredible generosity in providing snacks for our students! Your contribution has made a tremendous difference in our classroom community. Each morning, I've watched students' faces light up when they see the basket of healthy snacks available to them. Just last week, during a particularly challenging math lesson, I noticed one of my quieter students struggling to focus. After offering her a granola bar and some crackers, she returned to her work with renewed energy and successfully completed problems she had been finding impossible just minutes before. Your donation didn't just fill empty stomachs—it removed a significant barrier to learning that many of our students face daily.\r\nThe impact of having consistent access to snacks has transformed our classroom environment in ways I didn't fully anticipate. Students are more engaged during afternoon lessons, and I've seen a noticeable decrease in restlessness and off-task behavior. One memorable moment was during our science experiment on plant growth, when a student excitedly told me, \"Just like these plants need food and water to grow, we need snacks to help our brains grow too!\" It was a beautiful connection that showed me how your kindness has become woven into our daily learning experience. Several parents have also reached out to express their gratitude, sharing that their children feel more confident and cared for at school, knowing these resources are available.\r\nAs we move forward, we're incorporating lessons about nutrition, community support, and gratitude into our curriculum. Students are learning about the food groups represented in the snacks you provided and creating thank-you artwork to display in our classroom. We're also working on a \"kindness ripple\" project where students identify ways they can help others in our school community, inspired by your generosity. Your gift has given us so much more than snacks—it's provided a real-world example of compassion and community care that will stay with these students for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1758822353036,"projectUrl":"project/help-feed-our-students-snack-donation-d/9601382/","projectTitle":"Help Feed Our Students: Snack Donation Drive","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lyons","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5460824_orig.jpg?crop=288,288,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743709809185","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/jennie-lyons"},{"teacherId":9848000,"projectId":9554940,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donation to help keep our classroom healthy with flu season around the corner it is really going to help keep everyone from getting sick as much.
