My students were thrilled when they first saw the colorful supplies and organized materials—many commented that it finally felt like a \"real science lab.\"\r\n\r\nWe've already used the resources in several exciting ways! During our genetics unit, students extracted DNA from fruits in a hands-on lab activity. The lab materials helped make the process smooth and accessible for all learners. Later, in our genetics PBL (Project-Based Learning), students created large, eye-catching posters to present inherited traits and genetic disorders. The markers, chart paper, and organizing tools made it easy for them to work collaboratively, express their learning creatively, and take pride in their work.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, these resources will continue to fuel active engagement as students prepare for their upcoming sustainability and life science projects. Your support didn't just provide supplies—it helped create a space where students feel empowered to think critically, ask questions, and explore science in meaningful ways. Thank you for helping us build an inspiring and inclusive learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1739373529078,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-learning-essential-supplies-for/9072558/","projectTitle":"Fueling Learning: Essential Supplies for Engaged Classrooms","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Shaheen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9903382_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1737406257081","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9903382"},{"teacherId":3268209,"projectId":9068300,"letterContent":"We used these supplies for our Literacy Night, where we welcomed all families and transformed the space into Camp Read-A-Lot. Seeing the setup during the school day built up so much excitement that many couldn't wait to bring their families to the event. Their enthusiasm made the night even more special.\r\n\r\nWe will be bringing the Camp Read-A-Lot experience into our classroom again so that students who weren't able to attend Literacy Night can still participate. This event was not only exciting for students but also for parents, as they got to see their children's learning in action. During the night, students built sentences using subjects, predicates, adverbial phrases, and punctuation. They also took home an activity to continue practicing with their families.
