My students are now able to use the resources in my classroom to help with their learning disabilities or other disabilities such as ADHD. The students were able to use the sensory chairs, cushion chairs, and floor seats in the areas of testing, reading, and just all-around completion of curriculum in the classroom. During recent district assessments, my students were able to use a lot of the materials I requested to help with their focus and success in progress in giving their all. Their academic progress has already proven to be more successful. \r\n\r\nWhen I first started receiving the items from my request, they were deeply excited. There were a few items at a time that came in, and every time I received something, they wanted to help get it set up and ready to be used. Once the items were ready for use, they wanted to try the items out. It is an everyday event where they ask to use the materials, and it tells me that I made the right choice in my selections. My choices are in everyday use in my classroom, and it helps in their successes. \r\n\r\nThe materials I received are being used in many different projects used in the classroom. Since I teach both math and ELA, I allow my students to use them during lessons in both subjects. Two of the main areas I allow them to use the materials is when completing a writing project split in 4-5 groups and during a novel study when we are silently reading and listening to the audiobook. This gives the students the opportunity to be comfortable and concentrate. These projects are continuous throughout the school year and I will be continuing them in other school years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1727959285063,"projectUrl":"project/upgrading-6th-resource-classroom/8701512/","projectTitle":"Upgrading 6th Resource Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Story","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8670150"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_60931","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":697,"numTeachers":33,"percentFrplEligible":91,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":60,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":29,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"21.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":50.0,"schoolId":60931,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Kingman Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Kingman Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arizona/kingman-unified-school-district-20/kingman-middle-school/60931"}
