Having these books has made reading feel exciting and shared for my students. When everyone has a copy in hand, they are more focused, more confident, and truly engaged in the story instead of just listening passively.\r\n\r\nWe use Jumanji to work on important reading skills like identifying story elements, thinking about characters' choices, making predictions, and understanding how events connect. The adventure and suspense naturally spark conversation, and students love talking about what might happen next and backing up their ideas with the text.\r\n\r\nSome of my more reluctant readers have been especially drawn in by this book. Students who are usually quiet are raising their hands, eager to share their thinking, and asking to reread favorite parts. Your donation has helped make reading something my students genuinely look forward to, and I'm incredibly grateful for the impact it's had in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1744245200210,"projectUrl":"project/shoot-for-the-stars-reading-rockstars/9029043/","projectTitle":"Shoot for the Stars, Reading Rockstars!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Austin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8852602_orig.jpg?crop=719,719,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1678668905919","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8852602"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_49612","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":458,"numTeachers":39,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":95,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":"11.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":26.7,"schoolId":49612,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Debbie Braff Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Debbie Braff Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arizona/kayenta-unified-school-district-27/kayenta-intermediate-school/49612"}
