When the magnetic whiteboard easels arrived, my first graders could hardly contain their excitement. Their eyes lit up as we set them up around the room and students immediately began testing markers, writing math problems, and sharing their ideas on an exploration day. They were thrilled to discover that they could stand up, collaborate, and think out loud while solving problems together.\r\n\r\nWe now use the easels daily during math lessons. Students work in pairs or small groups, tackling open-ended problems, explaining their thinking, and revising their ideas as they go. One of my favorite moments was watching a group proudly explain their multiple strategies for solving a tricky subtraction problem. Each student contributed, and together they found new ways to make sense of the math. These easels have given every child a voice and a visible way to show their thinking, which has boosted both confidence and engagement in the classroom.\r\n\r\nAs we continue to build our problem-solving community, my students are learning to persevere through challenges, communicate clearly, and celebrate mistakes as part of the learning process. Your support made this possible.
