My students and I thoroughly enjoy them all. I have gotten to do so many read aloud and have even been able to loan them out for other teachers to utilize. They are such a great resource. They are really helpful in creating a classroom where students love reading and can have meaningful in-depth conversations about what we read. \r\n\r\n These books help make our story time colorful and full of characters that really intrigue the kids. We also got to use the flashlights to experiment with how proximity affects the size of our shadows. \r\n\r\nThe class got to use the new binoculars during a guided nature walk of the area near our school. Every day, students who come to school hungry or need a little extra energy can grab a snack, helping them stay focused and ready to learn. One special moment was when a student who usually struggles to concentrate in the morning shared that having a small breakfast bar helped them feel more awake and ready to participate in class discussions. These simple items are making a big difference in helping students feel cared for and supported.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue to use these resources to make sure all students have what they need to succeed. In our classroom, we are working on a project about kindness and community, and this support has helped show students what it means to care for others. As we learn about helping those in need, students are coming up with ideas to give back, such as writing thank-you notes or organizing a small classroom fundraiser to keep this project going.
