The rug has quickly become the heart of our classroom—where we gather for read-alouds, group discussions, and collaborative learning activities. Its bright, inviting design has not only brought warmth and color to the room, but also helped create a welcoming environment where every student feels a sense of belonging.\r\n\r\nMore than just a rug, your donation has given my students a comfortable and structured space to engage, share ideas, and build a classroom community. Your thoughtful gift has already made a meaningful difference in our classroom. With each student now having access to their own pair, we're able to fully engage with our digital learning programs, audiobooks, and other interactive lessons without distraction. It's amazing how something so simple can have such a big impact on focus and participation.\r\n\r\nYour support has not only provided a practical resource, but also reminded my students that there are people in the community who care about their success. Seeing their excitement when they first used the headphones was a powerful reminder of how small acts of kindness can inspire and motivate young learners. The On Strike Box Set assists students in thinking about fairness also about standing up for what is right. It also shows that teamwork is important. Enemy Pie is a fun memorable story teaching forgiveness and reminding students our \"enemies\" sometimes can be friends if we give them a chance. Good Things gently touches on love, loss, also grief, which helps children see that even when sad things happen, there are still good with hopeful moments for holding on to.\r\n\r\nThis collection urges students for them to think about just what is fair, what causes conflict, and to perform advocacy. The stories highlight the characters that take a stand, and they teach children about how to express those feelings in constructive ways. The stories do also show just how characters resolve their disagreements and understand all of the importance that is in empathy and teamwork.\r\n\r\nEnemy Pie\r\nFriendship, plus forgiveness, and even overcoming of misunderstandings are all discussed in this safe story that is classic. Perceived \"enemies\" can often become friends once we know them well.\r\n\r\nGood Things\r\nSmall positive moments help people heal as this text gently addresses themes of grief, love, and loss. It supports children as they name difficult emotions in memories and find comfort while recognizing that joy can coexist with sadness.\r\n\r\nTogether, these books give third graders a way to talk about their emotions, understand others better, and learn how to build strong, caring friendships. They offer comfort, laughter, and life lessons that students can carry into their daily lives at school and at home.","fullyFundedDate":1746787273829,"projectUrl":"project/essence-of-reading/9231066/","projectTitle":"Essence of Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Pavani","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3244007_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x577,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1697155136949","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3244007"},{"teacherId":3244007,"projectId":9270964,"letterContent":"The books you donated uniquely contribute in their own way to students' social-emotional, along with academic growth.\r\n\r\nMy Weird School employs humor, exaggerated scenarios, and easy language to engage readers. Its format, which is serialized, motivates children in a direction toward consistent reading, thereby strengthening both fluency and comprehension skills while associating reading with positivity. Students find reading approachable, imaginative, and enjoyable. This can allow them to develop literacy skills for use over the long term.\r\n\r\nThe Kids Book of Diversity instead starts up some meaningful conversations on culture and also identity and inclusion. Empathy as well as awareness are fostered by celebrating commonalities also by highlighting differences. It assists students in working to develop respect for other people in addition to preparing them so that they can engage in diverse communities through showing openness and acceptance.\r\n\r\nKindness Is My Superpower reinforces positive social-emotional behaviors among children. It frames kindness as a strength because it encourages children to practice compassion, empathy, and forgiveness throughout daily interactions. When kind behaviors occur, stronger peer relationships grow, so the classroom climate improves.\r\n\r\nThese texts collectively balance on the joy of reading. They also develop social awareness and empathy. Together, they exist for the support of literacy growth and for character education. They do also equip students with all of the skills needed for thriving academically along with socially.","fullyFundedDate":1746787344811,"projectUrl":"project/power-of-reading/9270964/","projectTitle":"Power of Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Pavani","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3244007_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x577,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1697155136949","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3244007"},{"teacherId":3173317,"projectId":9112611,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for all of these amazing books! The bookshelves are beautiful and already being well used! There was no rhyme or reason, we'd just see an empty space and we'd stack books there. In my class, we have jobs. One job is \"paper passer\", this means passing out text books as well. At times, it was frustrating for a student to even locate what needed to be passed out. Not only does the classroom look better and more organized, these book shelves have eliminated that frustration completely. \r\n\r\nWe now have a \"library\" job and that persons job is to make sure the books on the shelves stay neat and tidy. The students love having this job because because it's easy to make the books look great!
