With the new materials, they created \"Best Part of Me\" booklets to celebrate what makes each of them unique through writing, art, and photography. The supplies helped them express their creativity and share pieces of themselves in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials ,especially the microphones and art supplies. They were so excited! They couldn't wait to start recording their affirmation videos and designing their booklets. The microphones made their videos feel official, and it was amazing to see how their confidence grew as they spoke affirmations like \"I am kind,\" \"I am strong,\" and \"I am loved.\"\r\n\r\nWe also used affirmation cards during our circle meetings to start each day with positivity. At the end of the project, students created their own affirmation mirrors to take home after our classroom exhibition, a beautiful reminder of everything they learned about self-love and confidence.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for supporting this project. You helped my students find their voices, celebrate who they are, and feel truly proud of themselves.","fullyFundedDate":1754014532982,"projectUrl":"project/this-is-me-loud-proud-and-loved/9400699/","projectTitle":"This Is Me: Loud, Proud, and Loved","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Thayna","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9828576_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746480897027","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9828576"},{"teacherId":9828576,"projectId":9222393,"letterContent":"Our students were absolutely thrilled to dive into this Arizona-themed art project! With the new materials, they researched different aspects of our great state, from the saguaro cactus and the Grand Canyon to the Navajo Nation and local wildlife, and created unique art pieces to represent each letter of the alphabet. The project brought together art, research, and state pride in such a meaningful way.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw their finished pieces displayed permanently in our library, their faces lit up with pride. They loved showing their families and friends which letter they worked on and sharing what they learned about Arizona. Every time they walked into the library, they saw their hard work and creativity brightening the space, which is a daily reminder of what they accomplished together.\r\n\r\nThis project inspired a deeper curiosity about our state and its people, and it sparked new ideas for future research and art projects. The experience encouraged students to make connections between Arizona's rich history and the world around them, building a lasting sense of pride and community.","fullyFundedDate":1746480822134,"projectUrl":"project/az-uncovered-an-alphabet-exploration/9222393/","projectTitle":"AZ Uncovered: an Alphabet Exploration","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Thayna","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9828576_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746480897027","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9828576"},{"teacherId":9064930,"projectId":9451857,"letterContent":"Thank you so much! Everything from the colored pencils that students have used many times. From drawing their Layers of the Rainforest for our Save The Rainforest Project to decorating their every day journals. Journals which we start our days with. Journaling allows students to write down the things in their minds, it helps them get grounded for the day. It allows me as their teacher to check in on them first thing in the mornings. Its become such a calming routine in our classroom. \r\n\r\nThis was the first year I have done math and ela centers in the class. One of the things that I have learned about having successful center time is providing kids with opportunities for play. The magnetic tiles and the hashtag blocks give students the chance to play with their classmates but also gives the students the opportunity to be creative. I didnt provided a picture but one of my students made sunglasses out of the hashtag blocks, it was so cool! With the resources you provided, they dove into hands-on activities that sparked their imaginations and built valuable skills.\r\n\r\nUsing the clay and paint, students sculpted unique objects, adding vibrant colors and finishing them with Mod Podge for a polished look. The embroidery hoops introduced them to a new craft—learning different stitches and designing their own embroidered pieces. It was incredible to see their focus and excitement as they mastered each technique, many of them trying embroidery or clay work for the first time.\r\n\r\nThe moment they first saw the materials, their faces lit up with curiosity and enthusiasm. \"We get to make our own stuff?!\" one student exclaimed, while another eagerly started brainstorming designs before even touching the supplies. Watching them engage so deeply, away from screens, and create something with their own hands was truly rewarding.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue to refine their artistic skills and explore more creative outlets that foster patience, focus, and self-expression. This experience has inspired many to take their new hobbies beyond the classroom, and I can't wait to see how they continue to grow.\r\n\r\nYour support made this possible, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to bring hands-on creativity to our learning space.
