Students couldn't wait to open the boxes and immediately began talking about what they could create with the fresh markers, pencils, and other materials. For many of them, having their own set of tools made them feel proud and motivated, and it gave them the confidence to dive right into their work.\r\n\r\nWe've already been putting these resources to great use. In one recent project, students worked on creating illustrated storybooks to share with younger grades. Having access to colorful markers and fresh supplies allowed them to bring their ideas to life in a way that simply wasn't possible before. They took extra care with their drawings and writing, and the pride they felt in presenting their finished work was inspiring.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our next steps include expanding on these projects by introducing more collaborative activities, like group posters and shared presentations, where students can continue to practice creativity, teamwork, and communication. Thanks to your generosity, our classroom now has the tools to make learning hands-on, engaging, and meaningful. Your support gave us more than supplies—it gave students new opportunities to learn, create, and shine.","fullyFundedDate":1755881148104,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-for-success-empowering-young-m/9555299/","projectTitle":"Supplies for Success: Empowering Young Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ruelas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6416550"},{"teacherId":6416550,"projectId":9096250,"letterContent":"Our students have been diving into the new books, and they are learning so much more than just how to read the words on the page. These texts are helping us practice important skills like identifying main ideas, making inferences, and connecting what we read to our own lives. Many of the stories introduce rich vocabulary and characters that challenge students to think deeply, ask questions, and discuss themes such as perseverance, friendship, and problem-solving. By using these books, students are also learning to share their ideas with confidence during group discussions.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading time has become a favorite part of the day. You'll often see students gathered in small groups, reading together and helping one another sound out tricky words. Others sit quietly, completely absorbed in their own books, while some practice retelling the story in their own words. The new books have given us opportunities for interactive read-alouds, partner reading, and independent practice—all of which make reading feel exciting and accessible for every student.\r\n\r\nWe've also seen some students in particular light up thanks to these new books. One student who used to be hesitant to participate now eagerly raises his hand to share his thoughts after reading a story about determination. Another student who loves animals can't stop recommending her favorite book to classmates. These moments show us that the books you've provided aren't just teaching reading skills—they're helping students discover a true love for reading. Thank you for making this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1746451489091,"projectUrl":"project/love-for-reading/9096250/","projectTitle":"Love for Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ruelas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6416550"},{"teacherId":6416550,"projectId":9069135,"letterContent":"On behalf of our students and staff, I just want to say a big thank you for your amazing donation of snacks. Your generosity brought smiles to a lot of young faces and made a real difference in our classroom. Students were grateful to all the wonderful snacks!\r\nThe snacks you provided not only filled some hungry tummies but also boosted energy and focus, helping our students stay engaged all day long. Snacks are super important for supporting students' academic performance and overall well-being. These nutrient-packed snacks help keep energy levels stable and prevent overeating during meals, which encourages better eating habits and supports healthy weight management. \r\nPlus, healthy snacks have a positive effect on students' thinking and behavior. Good nutrition from snacks can help reduce behavioral issues and improve social interactions since well-fed kids are more likely to engage positively with their peers and handle stress better.","fullyFundedDate":1737654219414,"projectUrl":"project/snacks-to-focus/9069135/","projectTitle":"Snacks to Focus","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ruelas","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6416550"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_106133","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":176,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":48,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":96,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":92.3,"schoolId":106133,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Liberty Traditional Charter School - Sddlebk on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Liberty Traditional Charter School - Sddlebk","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arizona/arizona-department-of-education/liberty-traditional-charter-school-sddlebk/106133"}
