They took extra care with their drawings and writing, and the pride they felt in presenting their finished work was inspiring.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our next steps include expanding on these projects by introducing more collaborative activities, like group posters and shared presentations, where students can continue to practice creativity, teamwork, and communication. Others sit quietly, completely absorbed in their own books, while some practice retelling the story in their own words. The new books have given us opportunities for interactive read-alouds, partner reading, and independent practice—all of which make reading feel exciting and accessible for every student.\r\n\r\nWe've also seen some students in particular light up thanks to these new books. One student who used to be hesitant to participate now eagerly raises his hand to share his thoughts after reading a story about determination. Another student who loves animals can't stop recommending her favorite book to classmates.
