At the beginning of our school year, several of my former students who had received your gift told me all about how they read the whole book many times over the summer. \r\nYour investment into my student's futures helped build reading fluency, confidence, and a love of reading. My art students have been LOVING their new supplies. It has opened up so many project opportunities for them to explore new materials and experience a variety of creative outlets.\r\n\r\nStudents made their own art portfolios to store their pieces in using the poster boards and duct tape. They decorated them using their name and something they like.\r\n\r\nWe celebrated National Dot Day in September - inspired from the book \"The Dot\" by Peter J. Reynolds. It focuses on the idea that anyone can be an artist, all you need to do is start. Students used their new acrylic paints to create dotted art pieces.\r\n\r\nWe are currently using blending tools, erasers, and sharpeners to explore texture and shading. The headphones created a more focused atmosphere, allowing students to engage with digital lessons and practice problems without distraction. This individualized learning tool gave students the chance to work at their own pace, reinforcing concepts through interactive platforms while maintaining a quiet and productive classroom. Meanwhile, the moving whiteboard brought flexibility to instruction. I am able to adapt lessons on the fly, reposition the board for small group work, and make math more dynamic by physically moving the workspace closer to students. This mobility encouraged collaboration and made it easier to highlight key ideas during discussions.\r\n\r\nMath games and manipulatives added an element of play and hands-on exploration that deepened understanding. Games turned abstract concepts into engaging challenges, motivating students to practice skills with enthusiasm. My students were beyond excited to practice their multiplication skills while playing jenga and domino train. Seeing their excitement stem from simple math ideas, makes teaching math worthwhile. Together, these tools fostered a classroom culture where math felt accessible, interactive, and fun. Students not only improved their comprehension but also developed confidence and teamwork skills, making the overall learning experience richer and more effective.","fullyFundedDate":1755757979529,"projectUrl":"project/math-life-behind-the-numbers/9521464/","projectTitle":"Math: Life Behind the Numbers!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Martinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8386936_orig.jpg?crop=1478,1478,x0,y418&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1661285185755","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8386936"},{"teacherId":1712635,"projectId":9098181,"letterContent":"On behalf of our students and the entire team, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous financial contribution.
