For our students with disabilities, especially those with Autism, the light table provided a highly engaging, hands-on sensory experience that encouraged exploration, focus, and curiosity. Students practiced visual discrimination, color recognition, and cause-and-effect while remaining motivated and calm during activities.\r\n\r\nBecause of the materials provided, we were able to offer structured yet flexible learning opportunities that supported individual goals such as fine-motor skills, communication, and attention to task. The light table allowed students to work independently or alongside peers, promoting social interaction and shared engagement in a low-stress environment.\r\n\r\nWe are incredibly thankful to you for making this experience possible. Their support helped create an inclusive, sensory-rich learning space where our students could thrive, explore, and learn in meaningful ways.","fullyFundedDate":1673015591963,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-experience-through-light/6816361/","projectTitle":"Sensory Experience Through Light","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ramstack","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8658487"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_61986","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":73,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":84,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":10,"percentWhite":36,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":38,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":61986,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Rillito Center on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Rillito Center","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arizona/amphitheater-unified-school-district/rillito-center/61986"}
