Because of your generosity, my special education students now have hands-on board games that make building literacy skills fun, accessible, and confidence-boosting.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were so excited. Several of them immediately gathered around the boxes, pointing out the bright colors and familiar game pieces. One student said, \"Are these really for us?\" with the biggest smile. It was a moment of pure joy.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the games during small-group literacy rotations. Last week, students played a vocabulary matching game that helped them practice word recognition and communication skills. Watching them take turns, encourage one another, and celebrate correct answers sometimes with little victory dances showed me just how powerful these resources are. For many of my students, games remove the pressure of traditional reading tasks and allow them to learn in a way that feels natural and empowering.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has truly strengthened our classroom community. Next, we'll be incorporating the games into our phonics and comprehension lessons, helping students connect the vocabulary and skills they practice during gameplay to short reading activities. Their engagement and confidence continue to grow every day, thanks to you.\r\n\r\nWe are deeply grateful for your kindness and belief in our students.","fullyFundedDate":1759066770237,"projectUrl":"project/stronger-together-boosting-skills-with/9766436/","projectTitle":"Stronger Together: Boosting Skills with Games","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Phillips","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3282367_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1486497890284","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-phillips1"},{"teacherId":6108149,"projectId":9256414,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to my students! They are able to practice without worry that their peers are going to judge them if they make a mistake and they are flourishing now! When I first showed them the drum set they kept telling me how cool it was and how they couldn't wait to use it! My students have also been great and share it with each other so that everyone has an opportunity to use it without me asking them to share it!
