We are using the new resources during inquiry-based lessons where students investigate questions related to our local environment, including the land, rivers, and seasonal changes they see in their community. One memorable moment was watching students work together to test ideas and explain real-world phenomena they recognize from Aleknagik, asking thoughtful questions and building confidence as they learned.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were excited and curious. In our small rural village, access to new classroom resources is limited, so having these supplies felt special and motivating. Students eagerly explored the materials and became more engaged, with even quieter students stepping up to share ideas and collaborate with peers.\r\n\r\nThese resources will continue to support student learning as we move into deeper projects where students design investigations, collect data, and explain changes in their local environment using evidence.
