Your donation of a large dry-erase board and copier paper has made an immediate and meaningful difference for my students.\r\n\r\nThe extra board space has transformed how Algebra 1 and Geometry are taught in our classroom. Many math problems require multiple steps, clear organization, and room to think. With a larger board, I am able to fully model equations, graph systems, and work through geometric reasoning without erasing important steps. Students can clearly see how problems unfold from start to finish, which builds confidence and understanding.\r\n\r\nJust as importantly, students now have space to come to the board themselves—working out equations, explaining their thinking, and correcting mistakes in real time. This has turned math into an active, collaborative experience rather than a passive one. Students are more willing to try, revise, and explain their reasoning because their work is visible and valued.\r\n\r\nThe copier paper allows us to practice daily. Students use it for warm-ups, guided notes, independent practice, and quick checks for understanding. In a remote setting where supplies are limited and deliveries are infrequent, having reliable access to paper ensures learning never has to pause. It also allows me to provide immediate feedback and adjust instruction to meet student needs.\r\n\r\nYour support helps close the resource gap for students learning math in rural Alaska. These simple but essential tools are empowering my students to think more deeply, practice more confidently, and see themselves as capable problem-solvers.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and investing in their education. Your generosity turned science into a real, hands-on experience. Thank you for believing in us! The students were so excited and this has motivated them to strive for further excellence.\r\n\r\nInstead of learning about weather and climate in the abstract, students are acting as field scientists—recording data, creating tables and graphs, and discussing how wind and temperature affect daily life here, from travel to local wildlife and subsistence activities.
