Thanks to the support of our donors, this project has made an immediate and meaningful impact on my classroom. The color printer, ink cartridges, inspirational wall décor, plastic containers, and personal incentive charts have transformed our space into a vibrant, welcoming environment that truly feels like home.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students the most is seeing themselves represented in full color—whether it's their work displayed on the wall, their incentive charts tracking their progress, or the cultural materials we print that connect them to both Inupiat and Western learning systems. Having their achievements displayed in vivid color has boosted their pride, confidence, and engagement. They often run to our \"Celebration Wall\" in the morning to see what has been added!\r\n\r\nYour generosity has created more than just a brighter classroom—it has built a space filled with hope, belonging, and positivity for Alaskan Native students who deserve every opportunity to feel seen, supported, and valued. The impact of your donation reaches far beyond supplies; it touches the hearts of students who are now more excited to learn, attend, and achieve.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for making such a meaningful difference in our rural community.","fullyFundedDate":1691728210686,"projectUrl":"project/to-teach-is-to-color-a-life/7622495/","projectTitle":"To Teach Is to Color a Life!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Watson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1984863_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1484100569550","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/andwatson"},{"teacherId":1984863,"projectId":7623599,"letterContent":"As the special education teacher in a rural Alaskan village, having the right tools is essential for serving my students well. A laminator, label maker, and scanner are more than just organizational items—they are critical resources that help me complete, protect, and store important documents, IEP paperwork, learning materials, and student data. These tools allow me to stay organized, efficient, and fully prepared so that I can give my students the individualized support they deserve. With this project, I will be able to create durable, accessible learning materials that students can use throughout the year.\r\n\r\nBuilding a strong sense of community is one of the most important parts of my classroom. I want my students' creative ideas, learning achievements, and joyful moments to be visible and celebrated. With these tools, I can create displays, charts, visual supports, and shared classroom spaces that highlight student work and make our environment warm and inviting. In a village where the school is a central gathering place, showcasing student learning helps families and community members feel connected, proud, and involved in their children's education.\r\n\r\nMy students are creative, energetic, and full of potential. Closing the achievement gap is one of my biggest priorities, and providing the right tools can help them feel successful both in and outside of the classroom. As the world continues to evolve, it is important that our students have access to materials that meet their diverse needs and support modern learning. This project will help give my students the structure, confidence, and encouragement they need to grow academically and thrive in a supportive, organized environment.","fullyFundedDate":1695737569172,"projectUrl":"project/copy-paste-save-and-admire-your-way-to/7623599/","projectTitle":"Copy, Paste, Save and Admire Your Way To Success!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Watson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1984863_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1484100569550","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/andwatson"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_53391","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":46,"numTeachers":4,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":97,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"11.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":25.6,"schoolId":53391,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Aniak Junior /Sr High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Aniak Junior /Sr High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/alaska/kuspuk-school-district/aniak-high-school/53391"}
