After reading the book together and watching the movie, having the costumes gave the students the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the world of Oz. Being able to dress up as the characters they had read about helped them understand the story on a much deeper level, making connections between the text and the visuals they had seen on screen.\r\n\r\nActing out the story while wearing the costumes not only made the experience fun and memorable, but it also boosted their comprehension and engagement with the material. They were able to embody the characters, think about their motivations, and bring the plot to life through performance. This creative approach significantly increased their literary understanding while also building teamwork and confidence.
