They are already making i-Ready time smoother and more productive in our ELA class. With headphones, students can focus because the room is quieter and they hear directions and stories clearly. They can pause, replay, and move at their own pace without interrupting others. The audio support helps English learners and developing readers hear new words and model fluent reading. While most of the class works quietly, I can sit beside a few students who need extra help. We also use the headphones to watch short videos that explain skills and vocabulary, and for calm music breaks when a student feels overwhelmed so they can reset and rejoin learning.\r\n\r\nStudents are most excited about how clear everything sounds. The stories feel real and they notice the instant feedback in i-Ready, which keeps them motivated. They also like having their own little learning space. Many students enjoy a quick music break when they need it, then jump back into a lesson or a support video with better focus.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially warmed to this tool. One learner uses the audio to hear and repeat new words, and is speaking up more in class. A student who is easily distracted now tunes out hallway noise and finishes lessons more consistently. For care, we label and store each pair in the cabinet and clean them weekly so they last. Your gift has made our class calmer, clearer, and more effective. Thank you for making that possible.","fullyFundedDate":1746786275662,"projectUrl":"project/we-listen-we-dont-judge-from-pages-to/9237545/","projectTitle":"We Listen, We Don't Judge From Pages to Ears","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Lopez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8831559_orig.jpg?crop=1290,1290,x0,y369&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724617866123","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8831559"},{"teacherId":9709159,"projectId":9621978,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping my students. This project has helped so much to feed hungry bellies. Thank you so much. My students really enjoy the snacks. We come from a low income, small village in Southeast Alaska. One of the most effective tools we've introduced in our classroom calm corner is the hand2mind Mindful Maze. It's been incredible to see how these simple, tactile tools help students manage big emotions, especially during moments of frustration or overwhelm. Over time, I've watched them grow more independent in handling their feelings. Something that truly inspires me every day.\r\n\r\nWe also use art as a form of self-regulation and expression, which has been just as powerful. With the help of Posca markers, my students have created vibrant pieces they're genuinely proud of. One student even shared how much they loved the \"super pigmented\" colors; it may be something small, but meaningful, that made them feel more connected to the activity.\r\n\r\nWhen students feel safe, seen, and supported, whether through calming tools or creative outlets, they become more open to learning. These experiences remind me that education is about more than just lessons; it's about helping children discover who they are and giving them the tools to thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1742997138754,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-essentials-ignite-bright-futu/9179805/","projectTitle":"Classroom Essentials: Ignite Bright Futures With Your Support!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. A","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9329404_orig.png?crop=1728,1728,x30,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741841748896","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9329404"},{"teacherId":9329404,"projectId":9165664,"letterContent":"I've found that laminating the materials I create has made a big difference in my classroom, just like the one I'm holding in the picture. It feels great to know that the visuals I work hard on will actually last, even with all the juice spills and water accidents that happen in a Kindergarten through Second Grade classroom. Most of my students are very visual learners, so I want to ensure everything they see—from name tags to learning aids—remains bright, clean, and usable for as long as possible. It's a small change, but it's helped me create a more organized and engaging space for them to learn and grow.\r\n\r\nRight now, we're also focusing heavily on classroom management. When I introduced the Anger Card Game, it really helped my students understand how to regulate their emotions. One student even told me how much they enjoyed it and asked if we could play it again. Moments like that remind me of the importance of creating meaningful, lasting tools that support not only learning but also emotional growth.","fullyFundedDate":1742254991122,"projectUrl":"project/equipping-classrooms-empowering-student/9165664/","projectTitle":"Equipping Classrooms, Empowering Students: Your Donation Can Make a Difference","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. A","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9329404_orig.png?crop=1728,1728,x30,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741841748896","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9329404"},{"teacherId":8728822,"projectId":8954845,"letterContent":"To Donors choose and to General motors and also to Christine Tamarra and other people who donated thank you so much for bringing this project to life. \r\n\r\nThese iPads can positively impact kids' learning in so many ways by:\r\n - Enhancing engagement through interactive content.\r\n• Providing access to educational applications and resources.\r\n- \r\n• Supporting personalized learning.\r\n• Fostering creativity and collaboration.\r\niPads can be a valuable tool in supporting kids' learning and development.
