The students immediately began exploring, asking questions, and have fun.\r\n\r\nNext, we will build on the same energy by incorporating these musical instruments in our lesson. These resources are helping them deepen their understanding and giving them the confidence to share their learning with the school community.\r\n\r\nThank you for making these moments possible—your support is truly sparking curiosity and creativity in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1743445698592,"projectUrl":"project/music-is-a-journey-of-self-discovery/9212163/","projectTitle":"Music Is a Journey of Self-discovery!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Coleen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9939019_orig.jpg?crop=769,769,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1744518118517","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9939019"},{"teacherId":9938956,"projectId":9159025,"letterContent":"The tablet, plastic beakers, volcano kit, robot kit, 10-in-1 robot kit, and plant and animal cell models have been very effective in helping my students understand their science lessons in a deeper and more engaging way. The tablet provided interactive visuals and resources that supported their learning, while the plastic beakers allowed them to safely perform experiments and see concepts come to life. The volcano kit captured their attention with a fun and exciting demonstration of chemical reactions, while the plant and animal cell models gave them a clear and tangible view of cell structures, making abstract topics easier to grasp.\r\n\r\nThe robot kit and 10-in-1 robot kit also sparked great excitement among the students. Even though we have not fully explored coding with the robots yet, the idea of building and programming them has already made the students more curious and motivated to learn. They are eager to discover more about how coding connects to science and technology, and they are looking forward to using these tools in the future. Many of them have also expressed their excitement to use the tablet for upcoming science research projects as part of Science Month, showing how these resources continue to inspire their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.\r\n\r\nOverall, these materials have made learning not only educational but also fun and inspiring. The students enjoyed every activity, stayed highly engaged, and are now more motivated to explore science and technology in meaningful ways.","fullyFundedDate":1742098028881,"projectUrl":"project/code-create-innovate-the-future-start/9159025/","projectTitle":"Code, Create, Innovate: the Future Starts Here!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Pascual","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9938956_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x264,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1742315879342","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9938956"},{"teacherId":9938956,"projectId":9151005,"letterContent":"The use of the tablet, science kits, life science poster, electromagnet kit, and hydroponics kit has greatly enhanced my students' learning experience in both physical and life sciences. These materials made the lessons more interactive and hands-on, allowing the students to explore concepts in ways that go beyond reading or discussion. For example, the tablet provided access to visual simulations and engaging activities, while the science kits gave them the opportunity to experiment and apply what they learned in class. The life science poster also served as a helpful visual guide that sparked curiosity and encouraged discussion.\r\n\r\nThe students were highly engaged and excited while using these materials. They enjoyed seeing abstract ideas come to life through experiments such as creating an electromagnet or observing plant growth in the hydroponics kit. The fun and interactive nature of these resources helped sustain their attention and made them more eager to participate in the lesson. Having snacks available gave the children a sense of being rewarded for their effort and participation, which encouraged them to listen attentively and take an active role in class. It also helped satisfy their hunger, allowing them to focus better on the lessons rather than being distracted by an empty stomach.\r\n\r\nBeyond keeping them energized, the snacks also created a positive classroom atmosphere where students felt appreciated and cared for. They eagerly looked forward to answering questions, knowing that a small prize in the form of a snack awaited them. This approach not only made learning more fun but also helped strengthen the bond between teacher and students, as they associated science discussions with enjoyment, encouragement, and support.\r\n\r\nOverall, the snacks contributed to making the learning process easier and more enjoyable. By keeping students happy, motivated, and full of energy, they were able to participate more, learn better, and develop a greater enthusiasm for science.","fullyFundedDate":1746785599726,"projectUrl":"project/science-snacks/9265696/","projectTitle":"Science Snacks","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Pascual","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9938956_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x264,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1742315879342","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9938956"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_50954","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":69,"numTeachers":8,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":98,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"8.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":20.8,"schoolId":50954,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about James C Isabell School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"James C Isabell School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/alaska/bering-strait-school-district/james-c-isabell-school/50954"}
