They love to eat snacks! I thought about this clothes pin game to help my students with saying the correct words depending on the subject that we are on. When they come in lab area they put on clothes pin. If they say the words another student steal their pin. The student with the most pins at the end of the week wins a snack.\r\n\r\nIt starts with the first semester students, when we start with working on shampooing I tell them not to say wash they have to say shampoo. You wash cars, you shampoo hair. Lol! That's my little thing I tell them. Also, when we start cutting hair they can't say scissors, they have to say shears because this is what they are called in Cosmetology. \r\nWith my second semester students, we work on chemicals. We work on perms and relaxer. With this one they call relaxers perms. A perm curls hair and a relaxer straighten hair. So they have to say it in the right way. We also work on haircolor, with haircolor they can't say Dye they have to say color my hair.\r\nMy third semester students, we work on manicures, with manicures they have to say polish they can't say paint my nails.\r\nWhile in my class all the three semesters, I teach my students to use the words the correct way. This is a great way for students to learn by encouraging them with snacks. I hope you can donate again.
