Although the iPad has not arrived yet, I already know it will make a meaningful impact on student learning throughout the school year. Technology is used intentionally in our classroom to support literacy, math, independent practice, and student engagement.\r\n\r\nThe iPad will allow students to access learning platforms like Epic for reading and listening to books and Seesaw for reading and math activities as well as digital portfolios that document student growth. Since we do not yet have enough devices for a full class set, each additional iPad helps reduce wait times and gives more students opportunities to participate in meaningful digital learning activities.\r\n\r\nI am excited to use this resource during centers, small groups, and independent work time to help students build confidence and practice important skills in engaging ways. My students are always excited when new technology is added to the classroom, and I know this iPad will quickly become an important part of our daily learning routines. That simple routine has helped create a caring and supportive classroom environment where students feel comfortable and included.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited to see all of the different snack options when we unpacked everything.
