A few students had some accidents and their clothes needed to be washed. We were able to wash and dry their clothes before the end od the day. Making sure the students are clean is very important. We know children will have accidents. But it gives parents relief when they know their children have made a mess but they are clean upon ariving home. The dry erase markers have been used to help explain lessons to the children. The impact that you have made on my class cannot be expressed enough through a thank you. What may seem like a small act to some has made a huge difference in the lives of our students every single day. Because of your generosity, we are able to provide healthy snacks that give our kids the energy and focus they need to get through the school day successfully.\r\n\r\nIt's easy to forget how much a simple snack can mean, but we see the impact daily. Some of our students arrive to school late and don't have time to eat breakfast at home. Others come from busy households where mornings are rushed, and eating before leaving the house isn't always possible. There are also students who may not have enough food at home, and when they walk through our doors, they're already starting the day hungry. For these children, your support means that instead of trying to learn on an empty stomach, they can grab a light, healthy snack and focus on what matters most—their education.\r\n\r\nWe believe every student deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive without being held back by hunger. Studies have shown that students who have access to nutritious snacks are more alert, better behaved, and able to stay on task. We see that truth play out in our classrooms. When students receive a snack, their whole attitude can change. They go from distracted and restless to calm and ready to engage. That small moment of kindness ripples into the rest of their day.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, we've been able to stock snacks like fruit, granola bars, crackers, and other simple but healthy options. These are snacks that not only fill stomachs but also fuel minds. For many of our kids, having that extra support during the school day builds a sense of belonging and care. They know that someone is looking out for them, and that feeling can be just as powerful as the food itself.\r\n\r\nThis project is more than just about snacks—it's about creating a safe, supportive environment where all students can succeed. When children know that their needs are being met, they are more likely to feel valued and more willing to engage in their school community. You've played a role in making that happen, and we cannot thank you enough.\r\n\r\nWe also want you to know that every snack provided is a reminder to our students that they matter. Even something as simple as a small bag of crackers or a piece of fruit can be a symbol of care and encouragement. It tells them, \"You are important. You are worth it. We believe in you.\" That's the kind of message that sticks with a child far longer than the snack itself.\r\n\r\nAs we continue this project, we hope to keep building on this foundation of care and support. Your continued encouragement and generosity make it possible for us to reach even more students and ensure that no child has to go through the day hungry. Together, we are not only filling stomachs but also nurturing dreams, building confidence, and lighting the way for brighter futures.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in our mission and for standing alongside us in caring for our kids. You are making a real difference, one snack at a time.","fullyFundedDate":1748530243854,"projectUrl":"project/healthy-rockets/9098614/","projectTitle":"Healthy Rockets","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Rankins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9435772"},{"teacherId":4842291,"projectId":5744465,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity and support of our \"Keeping Us Safe\" project! Because of your kindness, my students and I now have the essential cleaning products we need to maintain a healthy, safe, and welcoming classroom during this ongoing season of caution and care.\r\n\r\nThe moment the supplies arrived—disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer, gloves, masks, and surface cleaners—my students were instantly curious and excited. We turned the delivery into a real-life learning moment, practicing how to clean our desks, sanitize shared tools, and follow safety routines. It gave them a sense of independence and responsibility, and it helped ease the anxiety that some of them feel around germs and sickness, especially those with health concerns or vulnerable family members.\r\n\r\nOne of the most powerful moments came when a student said, \"Now we don't have to worry—we're ready.\" That confidence and peace of mind means everything, especially in a self-contained classroom with students who have intellectual disabilities and complex needs. Your donation made that possible.\r\n\r\nWe're now incorporating these materials into our daily routines—morning and afternoon cleaning stations, practicing hygiene skills during life skills lessons, and even graphing our usage as part of a math project. It's a perfect mix of practical learning and real-world readiness.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, our classroom feels safer, cleaner, and more empowered. It has transformed our space into something that feels like a real business center, giving students hands-on experience with essential workplace tools. They're learning not just how to print and make copies but also how to format documents, send faxes, and manage their own materials in a professional way. This kind of exposure is invaluable—it's bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, showing them how technology is used beyond just their phones or social media.\r\n\r\nWhat's been most exciting for the students is the sense of independence and ownership this printer brings. They love the idea that they can create, edit, and print their own work without waiting for me to handle it all. Whether it's designing flyers for a project, preparing reports, or even just organizing their notes, they're taking initiative and learning skills that will serve them well in any career path. It's also sparking creativity—some have started experimenting with layout and design, discovering that technology isn't just about efficiency but also about expression.\r\n\r\nThere are definitely a few students who have really taken to this new addition in a special way. One student, who was initially hesitant to engage with technology, now confidently navigates the settings and even helps classmates troubleshoot when they run into issues. Another, who dreams of owning their own business one day, has been particularly inspired by seeing how professional materials are created. It's amazing to watch their confidence grow as they realize they're developing skills that will make them more prepared for the future.\r\n\r\nOverall, this printer isn't just a tool—it's a stepping stone toward a more empowered classroom. It's showing students that they have the ability to create, problem-solve, and take control of their own learning. More than anything, it's giving them a glimpse into what's possible when they embrace technology with curiosity and confidence.","fullyFundedDate":1670983637001,"projectUrl":"project/a-tech-savvy-vision-plan/6700050/","projectTitle":"A Tech Savvy Vision Plan","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Thurman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7021519_orig.jpg?crop=526,526,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1661110580163","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7021519"},{"teacherId":9699469,"projectId":8691808,"letterContent":"My students participated in a soccer and football unit.
