They have taken to the snap-and-build word activities and request them almost daily when we have our centers time. And we have seen growth from this as well. Being able to see where the vowel teams go in each word and how long vowels are spelled has been so helpful. \r\n\r\nWhen you see a child who struggles to read actively wants to pick a reading activity, build the word correctly, and read the word, it is honestly amazing. These simple activities are helping make an impact in the lives of children with special needs. Multi-sensory activities cross connections in the brain as you manipulate the parts, read, and speak the words, sentences, and numbers.
