My students had no idea what the errand was for other than to go get a box in the office that was too big for me to carry on my own down to our rehearsal space. I could hear my students who were carrying down the box from the hallway filled with excitement. They were telling me we got new stands all the way from the hallway. My students were excited to say the least. We reassigned stand numbers today, and everyone has a working and functional stand. We retired the ones that served us well, but it was time for it be replaced. No one is sharing a stand anymore, which is important for beginner musicians.\r\n I am excited to have concert music that is skill appropriate for my students. My students have much more success in class when they have music that they enjoy and can play. The next month I will be learning the new music and studying the scores so I can provide a great experience for my students. I know this will be the best spring concert I have ever conducted because we have what we need. I am thankful for all of the donors that help my students be successful.","fullyFundedDate":1760693782276,"projectUrl":"project/stands-and-tunes/9477685/","projectTitle":"Stands and Tunes","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Black","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1030714_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y151&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1761761810470","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/megan-black"},{"teacherId":1030714,"projectId":9274529,"letterContent":"Thank you for giving my students the materials needed to help us have a great start in beginning band. I was able to replace broken mouthpieces this week for my clarinets and saxophones. I had clarinet and saxophone students that were playing on a school owned instrument with a chipped mouthpiece. It was causing the students to make squeaks. I handed the students the new mouthpieces and the children's faces lit up the room. I was also able to assign out more instruments as I had a few clarinet and saxophones that I could assign out, but were missing a mouthpiece. All of my brass instrument mouthpieces are able to be cleaned when needed now due to the cleaner spray.
