These resources have transformed our ELA classroom into a more inviting and flexible space where students feel comfortable and engaged. On reading days, students rush to find a cozy spot in \"The Comfy Area,\" and during group work, the alternate seating encourages collaboration and discussion. The flexibility to move around and choose their own seating has helped students focus better and feel more ownership over their learning environment.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new seating options, they were absolutely thrilled. Even students who weren't sitting in the designated comfy area wanted to use the pillows—they were that excited! Their enthusiasm has carried over into our classroom routines, and it's been heartwarming to see how something as simple as a pillow or wobble ball can spark so much joy and motivation. As we continue our current ELA projects, these resources will play a big role in encouraging deeper discussions and more engaged independent reading. Thanks to our generous donors, every student is now one step closer to having a space that supports their individual learning style.","fullyFundedDate":1726525320164,"projectUrl":"project/getting-comfy-with-reading/8494990/","projectTitle":"Getting Comfy with Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Burbridge","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9591264_orig.jpg?crop=912,912,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1720840793235","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9591264"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_11537","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1186,"numTeachers":56,"percentFrplEligible":22,"percentAsian":11,"percentBlack":25,"percentWhite":52,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"21.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":50.0,"schoolId":11537,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Robert F Bumpus Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Robert F Bumpus Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/alabama/hoover-city-school-district/robert-f-bumpus-middle-school/11537"}
