The skin color pencils and blenders allow each student, regardless of color, to be more accurate and inclusive in their depictions of themselves. \r\n The papers that we received provide a strong substrate to create upon. Proper surface allows for better rendering, and when the students know they are working with quality, their work starts to show equal quality.\r\n Students have been, will be able to create using the pencils, or collage, or printmaking to create their works. As school is now ending, most of the materials will be used as school starts up again in August. These kids make some of the most interesting and creative pieces of ceramics and the glaze that we were able to add to the classroom is going to make sure that everyone can achieve their vision as they cross the finish line. \r\n\r\nAs the year has progressed, our glaze supplies have gotten thinner and thinner. Color options were getting scarce and most of the glazes we had available were reaching the point of being unusable or needing constant revival from a dried state. These kinds of hurdles can really dampen the motivation for finishing a project, especially when they can't achieve the aesthetic that they initially desired. \r\n\r\nAs you may have gathered from the project's monetary goal, glazes are not necessarily cheap. Buying single pints is not the most economically sound decision but bulk buying also is a HUGE purchase based on my classroom supply budget. The fact that we now have a full restock of color options, color options that are fresh and reliable, will undoubtedly change the experience of every single child in my classroom. \r\n\r\nNot only have each of you contributed to the success of my Ceramics program, but you have also impacted the success of my Visual Arts and Drawing classes as well.
