We did a whole unit on earthworms, and then we concluding the unit in the lab dissecting earthworms. The students learned so much and had a blast! \r\nStudents learned about the hearts of an earthworm and how they differ from that of a human and even other animals. They explored the internal organs and structures , along with external structures, of an earthworm. They learned how earthworms are able to eat without teeth, and they learned how quickly earthworms grow and mature. \r\nWithout your generous donation, this learning experience would not have possible. My students were beyond excited when they first saw the toys and games. We use them daily in our math centers. \r\n\r\nMy students have loved learning math and science concepts through play and the use of hands on materials! They have learned so much from these materials in such a short time. Every day, my students look forward to math centers. We have six centers. One center always includes a math game, and one center always includes a STEM set. Both centers are HUGE hits with my fifth and sixth graders. \r\n\r\nWithout your donation, adding these materials to my math and science classroom would not have been possible.
