When the package came in, my students weren't sure what it was, but once I showed them that it was magnets for them to play with, they became really excited and couldn't wait to start playing with them.\r\nI currently have three projects posted on DonorsChoose right now. The first one is for a variety of Bingo games. It can be hard for a child to learn new vocabulary. That is the reason why I am requesting these Bingo games. These games will help my students learn new vocabulary in a fun and hands-on way. The next project is for some bean bags. These beanbags have numbers, colors, shapes, alphabet, and phonics. They will help my students learn important skills as well. The third one is for some reading books. I want to get my students excited about reading at an early age to help prepare them for kindergarten. They have so much fun with them, they don't even realize that they are learning at the same time.\r\n\r\nThey were curious to see what was inside the boxes when they came in, and after I opened them and showed my students what was inside, they became very excited to see all of the activities. Right now I am in the process of working on a project to receive Dr. Seuss books for our classroom. When we have Dr. Seuss' birthday week, I will be able to read different Dr. Seuss books to my students. These books will help them with letter recognition, letter sounds, and so much more. My students need the magnetic blocks to help them with color and shape recognition and most importantly fine motor skills. Help them build up strength in their little hands. The life skills activities are to go in our dramatic play area. It's for a pretend washer and dryer and pretend cleaning supplies.
