My students who are in special education really like the color pictures and also the shorter passages used in this resource. The shorter passages do not become overwhelming to my students to read, therefore they can receive the same practice at comprehension without the academic fatigue that longer passages will. My students are benefiting from these cards as they are able to practice comprehension skills in an interesting and fun way. My students require much more practice at a skill than a typical student before they master it. These cards give my students multiple opportunities to practice their comprehension skills. The cards provide a visual to go along with the story and or text which helps them to make a connection with the text. It increases interest and gives them a point of reference. I want to express my gratitude for your donation to my classroom. This resource has been so very helpful in bringing interest to the passages my students read. By having interest in what they are reading, they will put their full effort into doing their very best not just getting the work done with half an effort. Thank you again for investing in our children's future.","fullyFundedDate":1770315126965,"projectUrl":"project/unlocking-reading-success-for-students-i/9806685/","projectTitle":"Unlocking Reading Success for Students in Special Education","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Brown","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1765842"},{"teacherId":8375718,"projectId":9543009,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the gift of science equipment and supplies! The best part is I have enough glasses for every student in my class this year and for future classes. This is truly a gift for all of us!\r\n\r\nThe play dough was the biggest hit with students.
