Thanks to your support, our classroom now has an amazing selection of board games that are already bringing learning, laughter, and connection into our daily routine.\r\n\r\nBoard games might seem like a simple addition, but for my students, they mean so much more. These games are helping to foster essential life skills such as collaboration, strategic thinking, patience, problem-solving, and respectful communication — all in a fun and engaging format. Students who often struggle to connect with traditional academic tasks are now finding their confidence and voice through gameplay. It's been a joy to see them light up as they work together, cheer each other on, and even navigate the challenges of winning and losing gracefully.\r\n\r\nThe impact of your donation goes beyond just the games themselves. You've helped create a more inclusive, joyful, and supportive learning environment. Whether students are using the games during indoor recess, brain breaks, or as part of social-emotional learning activities, these moments have become some of the most anticipated and meaningful parts of our day.\r\n\r\nI've also noticed a positive shift in classroom culture — students are engaging more with one another, building stronger relationships, and learning how to resolve conflicts in thoughtful, respectful ways. These are the kinds of skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom, and it's all thanks to your kindness and belief in the power of play-based learning.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart — and on behalf of every student who now eagerly gathers around a game board — thank you for making this possible. Your generosity has made our classroom a brighter, happier place, and we are so grateful to you for investing in our students' growth and joy.","fullyFundedDate":1750253164180,"projectUrl":"project/breaking-the-ice-with-board-games/9351341/","projectTitle":"Breaking the Ice with Board Games","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Arens","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9989353"},{"teacherId":9989353,"projectId":9327923,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to our DonorsChoose project! I downloaded and made the games and put them in a storage box for use now and for later as the skills are covered. The students were engaged using the math skills we learned in our math curriculum. Some skills that we covered already this is year were multiplication, adding larger numbers, fractions, and geometry. This was a great review to end our units with.
