Because of you, my students have been able to engage in a fun and meaningful classroom system using the desk pets, food, markers, pompoms, and stickers you provided. We use the pompoms as \"money,\" and each Friday, students visit our classroom \"sticker store\" where they can trade in their earnings for rewards like stickers, desk pets and food, or even new markers and crayons when theirs run out. This system has not only encouraged responsibility, but also helped build excitement around positive behavior and hard work.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, their faces absolutely lit up with joy and excitement! They were especially thrilled about the desk pets and immediately began asking how they could earn pompoms to take care of them. It created such a special moment in our classroom, where students felt proud, motivated, and eager to participate. The sense of ownership they feel over their learning and behavior has grown so much because of these resources.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we are continuing to build on this system by connecting it to our classroom goals and lessons. Students are learning about responsibility, saving, and making choices, all while staying engaged in their learning. We are also incorporating these incentives into our daily routines to reinforce positive habits and classroom community. Your support has truly made a lasting impact, and we are so grateful for the joy and motivation you have brought into our classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1768503567825,"projectUrl":"project/learning-laughter-and-little-desk-pets/9844712/","projectTitle":"Learning, Laughter, and Little Desk Pets!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kenney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9892728_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y50&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1737406557608","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9892728"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_109652","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":185,"numTeachers":7,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":55,"percentWhite":17,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":11,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":15,"gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"26.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":86.2,"schoolId":109652,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Wright Preparatory Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Wright Preparatory Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/ohio/ohio-department-of-education/wright-preparatory-academy/109652"}
