The students look forward to being able to work with donated items and they have helped greatly to support emotional and behavioral needs that arise.\r\n\r\nThe book series A Little Spot has been a big hit with my 3rd graders. They love when they are read aloud or independently. The books also give suggestions to help regulate emotions. They love them so much they want us to collect the whole series! The quiet headphones have helped many students with focus during independent work. They are also an essential tool during fire drills to help some students stay calm and regulated. The robot flash card sets have made learning and reviewing many subjects and skills so fun. It is a choice students pick during inside recess or even fun Friday!\r\n\r\nOverall, these materials are helping my class in countless ways, and we are so thankful for your generosity!","fullyFundedDate":1736969147136,"projectUrl":"project/resources-to-support-emotional-behavior/9050333/","projectTitle":"Resources to Support Emotional, Behavioral and Learning Needs","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Riggs","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9345399_orig.jpg?crop=2486,2486,x0,y82&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723241289823","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9345399"},{"teacherId":8852587,"projectId":7320339,"letterContent":"I want to take a moment to thank you for donating to my third grade classroom! We use our two-sided rolling bookshelf to display monthly themed books for free-choice reading time! I use this to display books for topics such as women's history month, local holidays, and school-wide focus on specific values like kindness or honesty. This has allowed me to highlight specific topics while inspiring my students to learn to love reading! \r\nIn addition, I have been able to deepen the relationship I have with my students' grown-ups by having a more organized mailbox system for sending information home. Because I have a dedicated space for organizing/storing papers that need to go home, I can communicate more frequently, thus providing a feeling of inclusion and transparency! \r\nFinally, we use the giant timer every single day to help keep us on track to get more done!
